Introduced in 2000, Ducati’s 748R was their homologation special for World SuperSport, (the baby brother to the World SuperBike championship) and this allowed the use of a new, larger capacity carbon airbox, Formula One style shower injectors that fed massive 54mm throttle bodies and a host of tweaks to the frame.

In short, a more focused racer with just the right edge to it. Perfection.

This late 2001 model example is a bike we know well, having sold it to its previous owner and we are delighted to offer it for sale again. Supplied with a host of improvements that include a set of carbon Termignoni exhaust silencers (original system also supplied) and fitted with new carbon covers to the swingarm, rear wheel, front sprocket, heel guards and radiator v-piece, it really looks stunning.

These later generation bikes are getting harder to find, and one that is perfect for that occasional trip out on a Sunday morning without worrying about adding too many miles, offers the best mix of usability and collectability.

This bike is a real credit to its previous owner, and its condition has to be seen to be believed. Without doubt one of the most usable modern classics out there and the perfect blend of handling and power.
